Forbes Music Company is proud to continue it’s Teacher Spotlight series. Periodically, we will be introducing you to one of our teachers. Through an informal interview, they will share stories about their musical endeavors, training and where they find inspiration.
Today’s Teacher Spotlight features our fantastic woodwinds teacher, Tim. He teaches saxophone, clarinet and flute with Forbes Music and is a school band director as well! He also actively performs in the region with several Jazz and Blues bands. Check him out on a stage near you!
Tim V. plays extensively throughout the New York tri-state area and occasionally nationally with a number of different groups. He also teaches music at the White Plains Public Schools, ranked nationally as one of the “Top 100 Schools in Music Education” by the NAMM Organization and is a “National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.” Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education (cum laude) and his Master of Science degree in Music Education as well. Early in his career, Tim was a staple of the Albany, NY music scene playing at numerous clubs, concert halls and regional events with many well-known local bands. Since relocating to New York, Tim has shared the stage with many world-renowned musicians as a featured soloist and band member, including major television appearances and spots working with Grammy Award winning producers.
