You picked up the guitar for a reason, right? Learn the best guitar riffs of all time and make good on that promise to yourself! From the 60s and 70s to the present, learn how to master the riffs that made guitar one of the most popular instruments in the world.

From 60s icons like Hendrix and Beatles, to 70s icons like Clapton, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Stones, and through the 80s and 90s with Police, Guns N’ Roses, and more, play the songs you love and then impress your friends and relatives!

In this class we will be covering songs that we all recognize and love. We’ll focus on the most recognizable part, the repeated musical phrase which focuses much of the energy and excitement of the rock song – the riff.

Even those with limited experience will benefit from this class. It’s a great start to building your repertoire and developing that love for the instrument. Riffs and songs of varying degrees of difficulty will be covered, so those who are new to guitar will have success and those with more experience will be challenged. Either way, you will have a lot to practice when the class is over!

Each guitar riff will be covered in-depth individually, before moving onto the next. Picking patterns and a few exercises may be explored to build skills and strength, in order to execute more difficult passages.

This class is perfect for: This class is perfect for most guitarists, including those with limited experience to more advanced who are interested in learning the most iconic guitar riffs of all time. Some basic understanding of the instrument is recommended.

After this class, you will be able to: After completing this class, you will be able to play iconic guitar riffs that everybody knows and loves. You will likely impress some friends and your mom will be very proud! You will gain skills in a variety of areas from fingering techniques to picking. Basic exercises that focus on fretting notes and using a pick will be covered as well.

Need a quick refresher of something you did in a class? Did you forget a chord, a fingering, or short melodic phrase? 

Office Hours are short, 15-minute scheduled online “lessons” that serve the primary purpose of getting quick, extra help, better explanations, or short refreshers from a teacher outside of your normal class or lesson time. Office Hours can only be scheduled as an online session and are not available for in-home. 

Office hours are a great way to follow up with a teacher after an online class to get a one-on-one explanation of complicated concepts.
